What is your paddle of choice?
The Viking Reignite Lite 2015.
How long have you been playing paddle?
I started playing paddle in 2014 so about 6 years.
What is your favorite part of playing paddle?
This aspect has changed for me over the years. When I first started, I loved winning. That is all I wanted to do and it was definitely my favorite part. These days, I love just being on the court with my friends. It’s a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of life.
Your greatest paddle strength?
I’d guess my spin? I think my lefty spin takes opponents awhile to adjust to playing against.
What is your best paddle memory?
Definitely Philadelphia Nationals! I was pregnant with my first child while playing my first Presidents Cup. I also took home a huge trophy because Spencer Caravaggio and I won the Last Reprieve draw.
What do you enjoy when you’re not playing paddle?
Taking care of my two beautiful babies.
Do you have any pre-match rituals?
My pre-match ritual is usually unpacking my son’s toys and explaining to the person watching him all the things he likes to play with. Then I quickly run away to play.
What advice would you give to beginners?
My advice would be to learn to love the screens. It took me 3 years to fully appreciate the art of the screens. However, now that I feel confident using them, paddle is a lot more fun.
